It seems like every company has these amazing stories about how they got started doing what they do, like, "I was on a trip to south America and saw some shoes and thought, I’m going to start a business selling these shoes in America!" or "I was skiing down the Alps and realized my feet were cold so I started feetwarmers.com!"  

So we tried coming up with a story so amazing, so jawdropping, that at very thought of it people would start crying uncontrollably in the streets. But after multiple sheets of crumpled paper and countless arguments on which African country we were skydiving into when we got this idea, we realized, why not just say how it actually happened:

We really wanted to start a t-shirt brand together.  So we tried everything, spray paint, fabric paint, home-made stencils (believe it or not, those were the good ideas :0/ ) until finally we found our medium.  We draw each design and print them on a t-shirt, brilliant!  

So no, we didn’t fall out of the sky into a secluded village where everyone wore nothing but t-shirts, but turns out we didn’t have to. 

We are really proud of our designs, but what we’re most proud of is the work we put in to insure that TheNakedHippie has the least negative impact on the earth while creating meaningful designs that people enjoy.

So that’s it. That’s our story, that is how we became (drum role please) TheNakedHippie.
